Did you know that you can support us through your salary? It’s a very easy and efficient way to donate to us and its also tax free.

Payroll giving can be referred to as GAYE which stands for Give As You Earn.

  1. Its super easy as once set up the donation will automatically be taken every month from your gross income on pay day. You chose how much.
  1. Its tax free – the amount is deducted from your pay before tax. For example if you donated £10 each month you will only pay £8. It costs less to give more.
  1. Matched donations – employers often match donations meaning more money is donated to us.
  1. It doesn’t cost you anything in admin fees. You simply are deducted the donation amount.
  1. Its flexible – you chose to give to the charity that means something to you.
  1. You can stop at any time (just speak to your HR/payroll team).
  1. You are supporting Down’s Syndrome Scotland every single month meaning that we have a reliable and steady income stream which in turn means we can help, support and reach more families, more often and more quickly.

By donating a little regularly you can make a big difference to help people with Down’s syndrome in Scotland reach their fullest potential.

Just speak to your company’s HR department and ask if they are signed up for payroll giving. They will then ask for details from you and ensure you are set up to the amount and charity you want to donate to.

  • Boosts your business’s charitable giving enabling you to raise staff morale and motivation. This in turn will lead to higher retention rates and will aid with recruitment.
  • Allows you to match fund donations again boosting your companies charitable giving status.
  • Allows you to easily monitor the monetary value of charitable giving your company has given each month.
