FriendZ Space is our online programme for adults with Down’s syndrome (18+). It is open to all life members of Down’s Syndrome Scotland. FriendZ Space was started in October 2020 in response to the isolation and loneliness many adults with Down’s syndrome experienced during the Covid-19 pandemic and lockdowns. It is a great way to meet new people, have fun and connect with others from all over Scotland!

We run online sessions focused on a wide variety of activities and themes. All sessions are in small groups on Zoom. Zoom is a video call programme like Facetime or Skype. You can download Zoom for free onto your computer, tablet or phone.

Each month we will have a selection of activities and sessions that you can join us for. Most meetings are one-off meetings but there will be some short courses too.

These sessions are specifically for people aged 18 and over, we are also running online sessions for young people aged 13 -19 through our TeenZ Space programme. You can find out more about TeenZ Space here

You can download the timetable of events for this/next month below.

If you would like to book any of these sessions please email us FriendZ@dsscotland.org.uk.

All of our online sessions comply with our Online Safeguarding policy, this can be accessed here, please take the time to read this policy prior to your session if you have any questions we are more than happy to answer them.

All meetings will be recorded for monitoring and evaluation. We may use screenshots or clips from the session to tell people about the work we do on social media like Facebook, Instagram and Twitter. We will not do this without your permission.
